Programme Outcomes & Programme Specific Outcomes
The Department of Psychology has designed comprehensive Programme Outcomes (POs) and Programme Specific Outcomes (PSOs) for both undergraduate (B.Sc.) and postgraduate (M.Sc.) programmes to foster scientific understanding of behaviour, research competence, ethical practice, and professional readiness:
B.Sc. Psychology
Programme Outcomes (POs)
| PO No. | Programme Outcomes – Upon completion of the B.Sc. Degree Programme, the graduate will be able to: |

| PO-1 | Understand major concepts, theoretical perspectives, empirical findings and historical trends in psychology, and demonstrate familiarity with the breadth of psychology and its subfields. |
| PO-2 | Develop and apply research methods, including research design, data analysis and interpretation; conduct and critically evaluate psychological research. |
| PO-3 | Apply scientific methods, scepticism, and critical and creative thinking to tackle issues pertaining to behaviour and mental processes; evaluate and combine data from many sources. |
| PO-4 | Apply psychological principles to personal, social and organizational issues; understand and use psychological knowledge to promote well-being and address real-world problems. |
| PO-5 | Develop self-awareness, self-regulation and personal growth strategies to enhance well-being and professional effectiveness. |
| PO-6 | Develop effective communication skills in a variety of formats, including writing, oral presentation and interpersonal communication. |
| PO-7 | Appreciate and understand the influence of cultural, social and individual diversity on behaviour and mental processes; promote inclusivity and respect for diverse perspectives in professional practice. |

| PSO-3 | Develop foundational skills and put them into effect — including assessment, intervention and ethical practice — to support individuals in diverse settings. |
