Department of Computer Science in Holy Cross College was started in the year 1996 with B.Sc. Computer Science. With the increasing demand in Computer Science, BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) was started in 1998. The Department shows a metamorphosis in its growth in a short span of time. M.Sc. Computer Science and the long awaited, much sought after MCA Courses were started in June 1999 and December 1999 respectively. Catering to the needs of the Society, PGDCA (Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications) was started in June 2002.
The Vision of the Department is to strive and inculcate a sound knowledge in Computer Science along with realized Social, Ethical responsibilities to enable the Students to combat the current and impending challenges faced by the Country and extend their expertise to the Global arena.
The Department aims at developing Intellectually alert, Scientifically progressive, Globally competent and Dynamic young IT women professionals.
