The main objectives of the course are:
- To bring out qualified professionals who can independently identify, diagnose and plan intervention plans for various speech and hearing disorders.
- To create awareness among general population about speech and hearing disorders, including various segments of the society.
- To severe as a Resource centre for other organizations and individuals in the field of Speech and Hearing.
- To strive to train skilled and committed professionals in the field of Speech and Hearing.
- To be recognized as a Centre for Excellence in Evaluation, Diagnosis and Rehabilitation of the Speech and Hearing impaired.
- To strengthen the student Speech and Hearing association.
The Department of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology was established in the year of 2009. As the silver jubilee gift of the institute of Rehabilitation science and Special Education, with the motto of making a difference in the lives of persons in the area of Multiple Disabilities in India by RCI. with communication disorders.
In India it is the only Arts and Science College providing Allied Health Sciences professional course.
