HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT

      The Department of Library and Information Science was started in the academic year 2018-2019 offering integrated M.Lib.I.Sc (Master of Library and Information Science).

VISION

       To develop proficiency in Library and Information Science along with values, standards, ethics, and practices, and to apply and evaluate the authenticity of the progressive information services for better use of the public.

MISSION

      To Educate and train the LIS professionals to be capable of applying their knowledge in the development and evaluation of effective and appropriate user-centered information systems, services, and resources.
