HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT



      The Department of B. Voc. Software Development in Holy Cross College was started in the year 2020. B. Voc. (Software Development) Programme is a 3 years Under Graduate Programme approved by University Grant Commissions (UGC) under National Skill Qualification Frameworks (NSQF) with sanctioned intake of 40 students. The minimum qualification required to be eligible to apply is a pass in the 10+2 Examination or equivalent from any recognized Central or State Board or a Course recognized as equivalent by the College.The curriculum is based on 60% skill component and 40% general component.The Programme assists in bridging the skill gap equipping and enshaping forthwith IT employable workforce.The student can do their higher studies in Post Graduate Programmes like M. Voc. (Software Development), M.C.A., M.B.A., M. Sc. IT., M.Sc. Data Science. After the successful completion of B. Voc. (Software Development) programme students can be placed in reputed IT Companies, Banking Sectors and Government Organizations.The Department association “Technocrats” and Holy Cross Incubation and Innovation councils (HCIIC) activities helps the student to develop their Technical and Entrepreneurial abilities.
